Unified Theory Gravitic Manipulator

If the Tak'nhetian species were ever remembered for something, it would be the UT-GM weapons that were extrapolated from the earlier Momentary Singularity weapons that existed at the time of their creation. These weapons require planning and huge power investments to fire, and so they are often one-shot artillery weapons with few exceptions. Based on the concept altering the gravitational constant in a local area to something near that of the electro-weak force, the device can turn a planet into a fusion warhead or cause the heart of a star to produce iron.

Zeus

Zeus was developed on the Intrepid as a forward mounted weapon along with the ship's HYPB system. Like Shadowstalker's earlier vessels, the [Vengeance 2A], Intrepid's engines were vastly more powerful than they needed to be for a vessel of its size, and this allowed testing of and frequent re-design of the weapon.

The first weapon firing of the Zeus device came during the battle of a Hycyanth fleet and a greatly out-numbered Intrepid and her fighter screen. With no choice left, the weapon activation was authorized, and the one deadly Hycyanth cruiser crumpled into a molten ball glowing with head and radiation caused by the collapse. The mission to destroy the Intrepid quickly rose to the highest priority until something larger came to light.

Hades

Having been to hell and back in the most literal sense, Shadowstalker named the largest weapon in the fleet after a place where he was sure hew as going to be sent for building it. A thousand kilometers long, the central spindle of the Hades device formed the core of the largest ship class ever made by the Tak'nhetians: the Merrimack. With enough power to fuel the hungry weapon, Merrimack was built with the ability to fire through spacetime rifts and then collapse the gateway to hide once again. Hades was used only once during the war, and knowing what it would mean to unleash its power, Shadowstalker engaged it personally to take the blame for what was about to happen. turned on one of two stars in a Hycyanth system, Hades caused a core collapse and premature super-nova in a otherwise stable star. Safely hidden as the hell it unleashed propagated through the star system, it was only a few probes left behind that monitored the reaction as first the massive neutron burst and then the shell of stellar debris scoured the life from the system.

After the war, Hades was torn apart as part of the peace accords, and the only one who could re-create it entirely on his own was kepy isolated from most of society until such time that death finally came for him.
