Xenchara

Xenchara is a country that makes heavy use of androids in day to day and military life. Military service is mandatory with the right to vote granted after the standard four year minimal term. Citizens vote for their local and regional representatives as well as the five council members at the head of the government.

To Xencharans, androids are machine. They are not people however they might approximate them, and they are always made to show some mark that labels them as androids. Only two exceptions have been made (see Will and Ben ) of which military training and service to integrate them as equals in society. While they do not recognize artificial intelligence as artificial life, they do not treat their androids as trash. They are valuable tools in their lives, and they are property worth protecting.

Private and Utility

Androids of this division can be separated into two groups: those that were made for their task and those that were re-purposed. Disarmed military and government issue androids often find places in construction or in hazardous materials handling. They are, however a minority. Most androids working in legitimate private sector and public works positions are made for their job.

Because the number of tasks out there, there are more models in this class than any other. Chassis are broken down into light, medium, and heavy duty, and most companies offer semi-modular command modules for each of them such that one company's command module can work in several duty ranges. However, only specialists or hobbyists tend to try and customize a unit with an command module it was not designed to use as default.

Common Models
ExAM Executive Assistance Master
ExAM systems feature high processing power, advanced AI, and superior data security. These androids are most often employed as faithful servants to executives, lawyers, and politicians where they serve the role of secretary, reference aid, and messenger. ExAM units are very expensive, but they often make up their initial cost by filling the roles of many other organic and android workers. These models are generally long tailed and predatory in appearance. Leopards, foxes, and wolves dominate the field with their ability to look very authoritative when dressed right. When something colder is desires, lizards make appearances. AS for re-purposed models, YES are the most commonly rebuilt unit.

SOHA Small office and home assistant
The SOHA is the most common and popular unit produced. They are small, affordable, moderate processing power, and ship with a very pleasant personality. SOHA used in offices range from three to six feet tall with five feet as an average. They serve as assistants to secretaries, small business owners, and support the functions of many workers at once. They can be chatty when allowed, and they tend to serve as morale agents in trying times. They differ from their home version mostly in terms of data security and how personal they are allowed to be with those they work with. They can serve in almost any position that doesn't require intuition and overt creativity.

RLT Rapid Life Tracker
The RLT is a special light duty android employed by fire departments and rescue teams. Equipped with powerful scanners and protective shells, these units appear as black and red furless variants of other units with mice being the most common. RLT are the first thing to hit the ground at a fire, hazardous material incident, or natural disaster. Their purpose is to provide area scans of structures and life signs to guide rescue crews so that they can rescue the most lives without losing theirs. The core of the RLT is extremely durable, and it is the most expensive part. These cores are usually recovered after the event even if the body is a loss. RLT have medium processing power but very limited personalities. They are very focused on their jobs, but they do have some protocols for dealing with frightened citizens.

SOHA Small office and home assistant
The SOHA home edition are, like their office versions, small, affordable, moderate processing power, and ship with a very pleasant personality. SOHA come in nearly any species, though small to mid size mammals are most common. Unlike office builds, they tend to be smaller to save space and reduce maintenance with the average unit standing about four feet tall. Some larger units are also build that stand up to six feet tall, and these ones are often used in places where more body strength is needed such as in some office spaces as well as in situations where they may need to tend to disabled persons. SOHA at home are usually used to keep up with cleaning, to aid in and prepare meals, and they sometimes serve as an assertive security system. In regions where SOHA are provided small arms, burglary is made difficult enough that rates are near zero. Older models often appear in thrift stores rather than trash heaps in many countries, and this makes them easy for lower income brackets to obtain one. Getting a SOHA working with y ou is often an initial step in some places to getting out of homelessness as they are the cell phone of age in some countries.
