Background

The Hayes class android was produced several generations after the Gallant Class was discontinued. Most Hayes class units are police or military units meant to handle riots without causing harm to the crowd. While generally unarmed, the can be equipped with a wide array of ranged weapons. Hayes are armored walls meant to push onward and drive back groups. On escort missions, they can encircle a priority target and shield it from damage ranging from explosive to radiological. Chemical and biologic shielding are possible, but these require specialized modifications.

Police issue
These units focus on riot and SWAT activities where their priority is places on protecting officers and applying non-lethal opposition to crowds while resisting extensive potentials damage sources. Most Hayes of this form deploy with their arms forward to shield their central body, and they will turn their backs to make a wall if they need to. Hayes have also replaces most other units as bomb sweepers.
Military Issue
Hayes employed by the armed forces are often used in a manner than one might use a tank. Because of their armor, they are often armed with long range weapons meant to take out enemy snipers that would otherwise make quick work of organic units. Hayes are also deployed in front of infantry units to provide armored coverage against attacks especially when in urban areas. Unlike the police issue Hayes, the military versions are capable of accepting orders that include tearing apart or smashing enemies. Entering into melee range of a Hayes is often a death sentence even for other android units. Even a BB class Gallant will not last long if a Hayes gets a grip on it.
Private Use
Less common due mostly to their status as a new unit and a high sticker price, Hayes devoted to private use are often equipped with enhanced personality modules that have tried to recapture the essence of the Gallant Class systems. Hayes of this format often appear highly devoted to their cause, and they often have the best sensory packages to ensure that they can make preemptive decisions with regard to their target's safety.
