Angel
Unlike her brothers, Angel was not pressed into medicine or engineering. Instead, she was given heavy instruction in protocol, politics, and languages. She was also educated in the general operations of the research unit as an exercise in utility outside of the usual for her kind as well as the promise that the rather gentle gremlins might also has a commercial use in the private sector. However gentle and formal she was, her size was still sufficient to use against the unruly when it became necessary.
Because she was deeply enmeshed with the corporate operations, she spent less time with her kin than the females of the other species did. This may be part of why Arak eventually settled in more with the wrangler Alice rather than her. INstead, she did eventually pair with Spencer, and their common experience of long hours and sensitive information became the cement of their relationship.
In order to protect herself and the others, Angel has never told the others about her role in the liberation, but her access to sensitive files and knowledge of the base operations were critical in the assault that liberated the hexapod species and a number of other unrelated species from the research facility.
She has since become a communications and intelligence officer, and 'asking the angel for guidance' is a code referring to having Angel provide intel or advice based on what she knows.
