From Sniri to Sullust

Ardan and Fenris, in charge of a mysterious spacefighter engage the the main engines with the intent to head to Sullust. Unknown to both of them, the ship possesses a hyperspace wormhole engine that exists nowhere else in the galaxy. This technology, from an unknown source, shoots them clear off the galactic plane in a matter of minutes with an effective speed hundreds of times what a normal hyperdrives. Once they manually orient the astrogation charts, they are able to arrive at the planet Sullust. Unknown to either of them, us of this engine is tied unto Ardan's psionic ability and has begun to graft him into it.

On the job training

Given their early arrival, Fenris opts to do some testing to see what his partner is capable of. The two begin tracking what looks like a mercenary organization shipping illicit goods. It becomes apparent that Ardan, if applied properly, can do some powerful and dangerous things. It also becomes apparent that failing to his skills properly may also come at a risk to his life. The pair, using the Force and psionics, manage to peel away several layers of deception to figure out where the shipments are going. This eventually comes down to a full blown shootout between mercenaries and their smuggled droidika battle droids. It is than that they realize who the final target really is.

Believe it or not

The intended target of the mercs was non other than the mysterious Ripley, a bothan spy with heavy investment into Protein Solutions. His crew, of which had no humans, seemed amused with the early arrival of the pair. Fenris was able to experience something he has never felt beforw: force dampening. A new kind of chimera based on primarily on ysalimir held the capability to dampen the effects of the force in a local area and effectively drain away much of a force user's power. He also was able to see an actual group of ysalamir that collectively posed a threat to any force user even though they are feral beings. Apparently the chimera has to commune with them to maintain its own anti-force field.

In addition to the crew, Ripley laid out the finer details of the mission including that the ship itself 'eats' psions for power. How he knows this is not revealed. He warns Fenris that the more they use the ship's unique abilities, the more of Ardan will be tied to it. He also outlines how the crystalline being has been attacking only ships with large populations and hyperdrives. Smaller starfighters have been left alone. He also makes note of a very specific ship that has been lurking in the area where the predator has been sighted. Of note, this vessel has laid low a number of mercenaries trying to take it out. He knows it belongs to a mysterious anti-slavery group called the Galactic Liberation Front or GLF. He also knows the ship's configuration is unknown and appears to be unique. What images they have of it show it to be a small capital ship shaped roughly like a manta ray, and almost nothing else is known about it. It is assumed to have sensor dampening abilities and engine baffles at the very least as it easily hides from most sensors.

Rim Bound

Ardan and Fenris end the mission on Sullust with the Outer Rim as their destination. Fenris, knowing things about the ship Ardan does not, has Ardan pilot the ship under normal hyperspace engines.
