• Vivomimetic Vari is meant to mimic much of the shape and movement of a tigress based on an Arya that was sent to ARK

Physical Description

Vari was based on the transplant from Spindizzy, an Arya, resulting in a tigress like shape. Overall, she appears to be an anthro female tiger, but she is roughly 20 feet tall. She has no fur at all, and her skin is almost all black with a durable, rubbery feel much like the solar cells on the Lasamar she was sent to replace. The seams between panels are made up of fine orange lines, and she also borrows the orange chest and belly that was used for the Lasamar color theme. Her eyes, a featureless green color, are also taken from the Lasamar to reinforce the idea that she is Lasamar in a new form and not the one that swept it under the rug.

Vari comes equipped with what looks like a SED uniform, but it has been modified with an ARK logo instead. The gray urban camo provides plenty of pockets for storage and, so they believes, dressing more as a native might help Vari better interact with the denizens of Spinizzy and other realms.

Personality

Despite her size, Vari has a gentle personality that is driven by the integration of Lasamar into her systems. She tends to be helpful, offers aid when asked or if she perceives it is needed, and tends to be more prone to intervene in conflicts. Vari is even more driven to observe and interact with others as she tries to understand them and provides data for ARK to test its predictions and models regarding the guidance of living systems.

Unlike Lasamar, she is equipped with military grade tools that she can use to defend others from armed attackers, and she can use them to destroy weapon systems if she perceives it is the only means to proceed to get the least number of casualties.

Mission Parameters

After the Lasamar deployed to Spindizzy was severely damaged, and the populace of Spindizzy decided they wanted it to stay all the same, ARK was forced to adjust its parameters in the short term while producing a new system more suited to the task. Because an damaged Lasamar poses a threat of letting key technologies fall into the hand of those that might threaten ARK, a new custom machine was sent to integrate the Lasamar data and personality information into its own system. The old Lasamar was physically destroyed to protect the technology and data, but all the data in the Lasamar was moved to the Vari and integrated.

Vari has a short list of operational protocols:

• Observe at close range the interactions between species on Spindizzy
• Provide defensive support in the event of a Shards arrival
• Render aid and stimulate cooperation among species on Spindizzy
