Character Background

Peebs is a very unusual young woman. She started life as a mundane mouse with the poor fortune to be deemed a suitable sacrifice for a ritual. Exactly what the witch had planned to bring through remains unknown as a small crew of witch hunters managed to track the witch down to nothing less than a rather lovely home with a large basement where the rituals had been prepared. Knowing she could not complete her ritual, the witch opted to kill the sacrifice and use the energy of her soul to fuel her escape. This, however, was disrupted as her foes charged her. The result was a merger of the witch and all her powers into the body of a spacey little mouse.

The mouse, now fused with the energy of the slime witch, did indeed teleport out and to a new location. She woke up and stumbled against a hopper that then proceeded to nearly bury her to death in peanuts. Not knowing her name, her home, or why her skin and some of her fur had gone purple, she was taken in by the crew of the nut packing plant she landed in and nicknamed Peebs which is short for peanut butter.

Personality

Peebs is not a bright gal, but there is something between her ears. She has a short attention span and a tendency to wander, but she's wise enough to know what not to do and how to avoid being hurt. She is most vulnerable to being persuaded or fed stories, and she is far too trusting for her own good. All of this makes her an excellent prison for the witch's power. However, Peebs can flip her personality now and again.

When placed under heavy stress, specifically fearful situations, Peebs sometimes lashed out and uses magic instinctively. She might lash out with an arm that extends far longer than it should or pick up a severed limb and let it fuse back to her while ignoring the lack of blood and the rapid reattachment as waking nightmares. She can, if left quaking in a corner and screaming for help, sometimes cause other slimes and gels to manifest which will see her as their own and attack her foes. She is safe from, and tends to be able to interact with, slimes of all sorts including the famous gelatinous cube.

Magic

As stated earlier, Peebs is the vessel for a slime master witch and all her magic without the annoyance or guidance of the witch's intelligence. However, she never uses magic unless she is so freaked out that she won't remember or believe what happened. A few of her oddities can be found here.

Lack of Organs Peebs resembles for all purposes a normal mouse with unusual coloring. She eats, can be someone's lover, gets tired, and sleeps. If one were to look, however, she has density gradients that mimic bones and muscles, but she is made of gelatinous material with a decidedly grape scent and flavor.

Physical Distortion Peebs can bend and stretch like a slime would in a fight, and her ability to stretch and reseal wounds make her almost invulnerable to melee attacks, even if she doesn't know that. In the most extreme of cases when she is both terrified and angry enough to summon the will to be violent, she is capable of devouring a person of average size and stretching around them. Anyone who knows what slimes do to organic matter will know that the victim will be coming apart inside her within moments.

Summon Slime This is often an effect triggered when Peebs is curled up in a ball and trying to protect herself. The result is the summoning of something she can control even if only instinctively. These monsters are true dungeon dwelling slimes with all the associated perils.

The main thing to remember about Peebs and magic is that she has absolutely no control over it, and she lacks the wits to learn. However, under normal circumstances, she is completely harmless.
