Kenneth Kyrie

Background

Kenneth is a botanist that specializes in exotic species as well as identifying the ecology of alien plants in the Outer Worlds. Given his skill with xenobiology, it is natural that he works with Terry Telo, a weapon smith turned biologist that specializes in animal behavior and how to use it to strike a balance between colonists and the worlds they are settling.

Kenneth's ability to understand living things goes well beyond expert training in that he can sense the energy of living things in a wide radius around him. ON his homeworld. mystic abilities are not just shunned but actively sought out and destroyed whether it was learned or if you were born with it. His senses kept him alive long enough to find a way out which happened to be jumping out with Terry when she happened to be passing through. Kenneth also has a minor ability to heal both himself and others on contact.

Blue Quills

While most of Kenneth's quills come in the usual dark brown or black with white tips, some of them come in iridescent blue. These quills came in around the time his supernatural gifts manifested. When younger, he would just pluck those quills out and dispose of them, but when it started to show up in the tips of his fingers, he had to wear gloves. He doesn't bother to hide them now that he feels safe, and his fingers from the last digit on are a deep blue color, and his blue quills have formed two thin lines along his spine. Terry was able to identify them as appearing along a sort of life line not unalike some of the species she has seen in the Outer Worlds.

Blue fingers seem to correlate with his ability to heal living things. The lines down his back appear to be an extension of an altered region of tissue beneath that that actually continues into Kenneth's skull and probably his brain that may be the source of his extrasensory abilities.
