Origin and Motivations

==Present Occupation

Arms Dealer

More shrewd than the usual fence style weapon dealers, Janie's gang operates quietly using subterfuge and misinformation to cause shipments to go missing. They specialize in stealthy acquisitions, and they have infiltrated a number of high profile sites to give them inside access. Some weapons they keep for themselves, and as a result they are some of the best outfitted mercenaries on the planetoid.

Organized Crime

Sometimes referred to as the urban amazons, Janie's crew is made mostly of female victims of violent crimes looking for strength, solidarity, and more often than not, revenge.

Despite her general hatred of men, there are some male members of the gang. they will never been seen as equals by Janie, and they know this and accept it. Most of the time, these are the male siblings to young woman taken into the gang. Guiklty of nothing more than being male, Janie allows them to stay rather than be the cause of a broken home or a vendetta. These male members are often used as informants if they are deemed capable, but most often they tend to the day to day tasks that the gang needs to operate.

There is only one case of an adult male being brought into the gang. In his case, he lost his wife to cancer rather than abuse or neglect, and his children were kidnapped, one of which was a daughter. Injured and desperate, he ended up in the gang's turf, and was ready to die if that is what it took to get his kids back. Janie, being an excellent judge of character, saw in him what she wished her father had been. They helped retrieve his twins from a nearby gang, and helped him get a better home. Of course, there was a cost, and this new home was also a safe house for a gang and a starting place for many younger members of the gang. This rare case is one that keeps Janie from becoming a pure man killing machine.

Associates

Sadie, a wererat from Earth, shares a similar history of childhood neglect, and this led the two to pair up for some time on Spindizzy. Sadie, however, despised both of her parents as they neglected her, but she was not the victim of a violent crime like Janie endured. Although Janie did extend membership to Sadie, she found the cyclic nature of the wererat hard to manage, and Sadie's chemical dependencies eventually caused Sadie to withdraw beyond the gang's reach.
