We return to the land of dreans to find some much larger than a Nothing and bigger than a B-17G carrying nearly everyone within its orange hued borders, and within those confines Tavi and Nate have pulled a figure covered in sickly darkness from what was an instrument console. There are many stories about the power of love, and there are countless romantacized accounts that somehow love knows no boundaries and can even triumph ovr death. As the darkness is washed from her, Austin, Bertha's sharp-soothed sister, is revealed, and by the actions of those assembled, her eyes see light and life once again. Holding her tight is the Nate in the bare soul. He has seen the far gates, he has fought and evaded the afterlife, and now back in Austin's arms, he is reunited with the one he loves beyond all else. Maybe there really is some substance in those tales, but even if there is not, you have all given then a great hand in reuniting them and also extending a triumphant middle finger to not only the fear of death but death itself here and now.

Still catching her first real breaths in 70 years, Austin is winded bu recovering. Nate, who calls her a dumb bitch, is all tears and smiles as he clings to her, and Austin is just as pleased to have her worthless weasel back. Far behind you, the fear of death has pushes aside the two Nothings dispatched tyo ruin it, but it has gotten no closer. Below are dense clouds that rarely betray what lies below, and above is the damaged from of Bertha's shell half a mile above you. The skies ahead show no sign of opposition, and the radio is quiet aside from Mic or Bertha checking in. You are flying in the unbound body of an esper, a being born of dreams that sleeps and reaches into your world. Like muses gone backwards, they see your world in small bits when they live within a body most often of a machine like a hermit crab having chosen a shell for a time. Beyond this, what you you know so far seems like so little, but you are in the presence of those that could answer.

You are, for the moment, seemingly safe.
