Origin

Like Hazmokaff, there are records regarding the origins of Choba, although in Choba's case, these records extend all the way to his birth. Perhaps one of the most sinister implications of gooroo biology is that Chobaroo appeared not long after a child went missing in Apnuci's neighborhood. While she was too clever to leave evidence, theorists still insist that the child must have been a catalyst of some kind to form a new gooroo. This implies that gooroos require mundane souls to spawn more of their kind. IN some ways it is comforting to know that they can't eliminate everyone without terminating their existence, but no one is sure if it must be the PKE and soul of a child to make a new gooroo.

Choba has childhood friends up until he was about four years old at which point one of his childhood playmates went missing, and Apnuci knew where. At that point, Choba was carefully instructed on hunting covertly, proving that gooroos can raise their young and support them even though all other records indicate a more feral or cuckoo style upbringing. With his mother's expertise, the young active feeder was able to take prey with virtually no evidence left behind. Now in his late teens, he has taken some lessons in tact and conversation that his mother rarely uses. The end result is a very clever, smooth talking, and playful monster. Whether learned from his mother or on his own, Choba does not belittle his prey or make of their sacrifice, and so he takes what he needs and no more.

Unique Abilities

Thin Shell

Most gooroo have a very solid shell that separates the world from their gelatinous core. However, only Mobrasu has a thinner shell than Choba who has opted to keep his front thin enough to part and free-flow while sides and back are all more durable. This allows him to take in prey with more than just his mouth.

Toxic Secretions

Like his mother, Apnuci, Choba is highly toxic. His shell is the only part that keeps others from being exposed to the dangerous gel in his core. Unlike Apnuci, this is not lethal but instead intoxicating. Cuddling, kissing, and intercourse with Choba are all ways for him to carefully poison his prey and lure them into wanting anything he suggests. At extreme doses, prey become so disoriented that they can no longer fight, though well before then, most prey are begging him to do more. While Apnuci can gas huge areas, Choba requires much closer contact, and he prefers to be very subtle.

Diet and Feeding Style

Choba is an energetic and friendly monster which helps him draw in people he likes. He balances himself out between the bold and the shy, though he does not discriminate between male and female prey. He prefers to meet victims at clubs where he can dannce and feel them out while slowly subduing them before luring those he selects away to somewhere more private. Choba is more sensual that most gooroos, and as such he has little trouble dosing targets sufficiently to take them without fuss.

Choba, like Apnuci, adheres to a strict policy of not hunting in the same place he keeps good relations. This leaves leaves him a sanctuary to return to in between meals without any missing persons keeping him on the defensive.

Special Protection

Choba and Maple are the only gooroos with federal protection status. Maple for her service as an officer, and Choba as a condition of Apnuci's assistance with the Mochi incident decades before.
