Bat Instincts
Bat's count Athletics, Coordination, Perception, Stealth, Vigilance as class skills and add aa when using those skills
Flight
The species may cover ground vertically as well as horizontally; the species may also ignore difficult terrain.
Echolocation (10 xp, optional)
The bat may generate high frequency sounds that are then reflected and detected by the bat's ears allowing it to see in complete darkness as well as through obscuring fog or smoke. Under these conditions, echolocation removes ss from the checks. This ability is not useable while wearing a helmet unless is has been specifically engineered to produce and receive these sounds for the bat. (requires 2 HP as a mod)
Venom (15 xp, optional)
A special ability engineered into the bat platform primarily for assassination. Modified salivary glands and hollow channels in the upper fangs allow the bat to deliver venom with a bite or milk venom from a fang to be added to a weapon, food, or drink. The compound is a custom protein solutions neurotoxin, and the bats are immune to its effects.
If the target fails a Average (dd) check for a single dose or a Hard (ddd) check for multiple doses, the target suffers 5 wounds, in addition for each t one strain is suffered, the GM may spend one y to have the target test against the poison during the next round.
Biting is a brawl attack, and upon a successful attack, the bat can deliver its venom. A bat can deliver up to two doses of venom per bite. Following a venom bite, a bat must make a d resilience check for a single dose or dd for a double dose to determine if the bat has any remaining venom for the encounter. For each use of venom, the cumulative difficulty increases by one for one dose or two for a double dose. Failure of the resilience check indicates that that bat has no venom remaining for that day. It is not possible to force any additional venom until the next day.
The GM can spend ttt or y from the Resilience check to declare that you've completely exhausted your supply of venom for the encounter, and thus prohibit its use until after the encounter. The GM may optionally require a rest that is sufficient enough to regain Strain before declaring that the ability has recharged.

Product Description

While Chimera Corp was working on the modification so of the Protein Solutions Skunk, they tapped into another mythos for yet another unit: the bat. While bites that turned others into undead monsters were not in their reach, a similar technology that provided the skunk with the ability to spit was tailored to allow the bat to create and deploy a potent enzyme-based neurotoxin. Combined with modified teeth, the venom modification to the bat species was intended for use in units that would serve as assassins or saboteurs such that they could carry deadly biological agents across borders without having to hide them where they might be discovered. Capable of delivering their payload through a direct bite or by extracting their own venom into a container suitable for doping into food or drink, the Chimerica Core edits to the Protein Solutions bat were meant to fill a niche unoccupied by any other unit at the time.
