Basic Stats

Species: Big Brown Bat
Gender: Male
Height: 5'6"
Augmentation: Capable of generating lethal electrical shocks similar to an electric eel.

Ace is a very unusual member of the SED as the only bat that was ever created. Like the Ainata, Arya, and Seyae, Ace is something that Morticon created for use by the SED, but unlike the others, he was built from the ground up without using an imprint. Because of this, Ace's creation was far too labor intensive to mass produce, but the single unit that was made has exceeded the original design parameters.

Ace's memories are all false with careful safeguards to prevent him from 'breaking' as imprinted units have. He believes that his home colony was destroyed by a massive cave collapse, and that Morticon and the SED saved his life. Because of this, he is fiercely loyal to the SED, or more specifically, to Morticon. He is so loyal to his creator that he will take orders from Morticon above all others even if those involved killing Morticon's own children, wife, or allies. Ace lives and dies by Morticon's word alone, and he will never question or challenge an order from the wallaby.

Because being a bat poses challenges to wardrobe, armor is almost out of the question for him in combat. Instead, Ace has a lightweight black suit that covers his body and head to mask his identity along with long, slender blades against the leading edge bone of his wings that both protects the wing bones and allows him to slash his targets to ribbons. When in the air, he can use his feet to fire a modified pistol, an he has been fitted with other custom weapons in the past.

The last secret weapon Ace conceals is in his flesh. Like an electric eel, he can create enormous, lethal electric charges that work well with his wing blades. Excessive use, however, is exhausting. Because of his modified anatomy, he tends to easy heavily without the weight gain that should come with it.

Day Job

Ace spends much of his time in the public eye behaving as if he had nothing to do with the SED. He serves as a zoning and inspections officer for the city of Neopolis, and he is often found on buildings sites and more as he performs safety inspections and ensures they are up to code. What this really allows him to do is snoop around the insides of buildings regularly and keep a ear open for other useful news. Beyond this, he acts as a perfectly normal bachelor, holds a home in Neopolis, and remains a sleeper agent for the SED.

Descriptions

Base

Beady little black eyes look upon the world around him with a certain understanding and perhaps questionable intent. Soft brown fur covers most of his five foot six inch body, the belly being only slightly paler than the rest of his body. His muzzle and head structure are very much like an evening bat, dark fur covering his muzzle and face up around those eyes. Small, sharp white teeth line his muzzle and give him a slightly frightful appearance even when being friendly.

Unlike his body, his wings are solid black and bear no fur. The wings structure is not quite identical to his non-morphic counterparts, as he has what could be considered one extra digit. Four long, delicate fingers make up the wing while the extra digit forms an index finger to oppose his thumb. The wing membranes themselves run from his underarm all the way to the waist which makes finding clothing that fits very hard.

A long, slender tail serves as the anchor for the membranes that join the insides of his thighs to his tail and thus complete his flight surfaces. There's something else unusual about this bat though that isn't quite visible, but might literally make fur stand on end at times.

SED Clothes

The bat has finally managed to find a set of clothing that suits him. He is currently wearing a black T-shirt with the sides slit to allow his wing membranes to pass through. The bottoms are attached to the inside of his dark blue denim coveralls, which bear a number of pockets filled with who knows what. Rather carefully hidden on the straps of his coveralls is an embroidered SED logo. Ace also has a pair of flight goggles. He really never wears them, but it seems to be the style for bats these days. Anything to blend in!

Office Clothes

Thankfully bats are not that uncommon that Ace hasn’t been able to find clothing suitable for his job. Floating between a few positions at times within the Neopolis government, Ace spends a lot of time doing building inspections, dealing with zoning, and other tasks that would make most claw their eyes out in hopes to escape it all. However, this bat manages it all well enough and even relishes it at times. As a government employee, Ace can be found wearing a pair of modified khakis along with a button-down white shirt snaps to deal with his wings. A tie is a must, even if loathed, though a hat gives him a little relief from the sun now and again as he is far more used to nights than days. A messenger bag is a must when you need both arms to fly, and more often than not, he has a clipboard and boring documentation in tow.

Assassin

Most clothing is meant to stand out or compliment, even accentuate, the features of the wearer. Dark and loose enough to have folds but not enough to hinder movement, these clothes succeed in masking the exact shape and colors of their bearer, only the species being impossible to hide. A bat of some kind roughly five and a half feet tall of unknown build or color hides under the protecting padding of black cloth. There are no markings to betray loyalty to anyone, not even subtle hints as to the origin, but the augmentation of his wings with a blades leading edge from the wrist down to the first joint of his longest wing bones suggests his business is not of a pleasant sort. With muzzle and head covered carefully, only intense, nearly black eyes are exposed.
